Plating Operator

Location: Wisconsin

Job Overview
The employee assigned to this position will use the formula set in place by US Chrome of Wisconsin to Plate Cylinder Bores. Operator will also be prepping the Cylinder Bores to allow for proper adhesion through the pre-treat line and plating process. Maintaining the tanks and all equipment will also play a key role in keeping the Cylinder Bores to the Quality Standards our Customers have come to expect.

Responsibilities & Duties
  • Complete Necessary Logs and Documentation
  • Keep area clean and organized
  • Follow Processes and Procedures
  • Maintain Equipment
  • Identify Serial Numbers to Routing Sheet
  • Use of Hand Held Measuring Equipment and Hand Tools
  • Follow Safety Protocol and Maintain PPE Requirements

Sales Executive

Location: Connecticut (This position will be dedicated to our sister company, USC Technologies)

Job Overview

The Sales Executive’s primary responsibility is to grow business operations by increasing sales to existing customers as well as capturing new, profitable business opportunities in the government and commercial sectors. The ideal candidate will have an extensive amount of professional sales experience in manufacturing that includes meeting or exceeding sales KPI’s and quoting of manufacturing services. This candidate must be a motivated professional who is willing to market USC Technologies services to prospective customers through many means including phone, in-person, trade shows, associations, and other successful methods.

Responsibilities & Duties
  • Collaborate with the general manager and leadership team to develop sales objective planning, strategies, and customer requirements that ensure the attainment of company goals and profitability
  • Identify and solicit new business opportunities; frequently conduct sales calls, virtual meetings, and product demonstrations
  • Build working relationships with purchasing managers and engineers to obtain RFQs for USC Technologies
  • Be accountable and maintain up-to-date knowledge of the electroplating industry and our customers industries
  • Timely, consistent, and comprehensive CRM reporting as outlined by the company leadership team
Qualifications
  • College degree or equivalent combination of education & experience
  • 3+ years of documented successful quota attainment in technical manufacturing sales
  • Working knowledge of standard sales software including CRMs, Google Drive, and Office 365
  • Strategic thinker who exhibits a strong understanding of the business, its customers, competitors, processes, and other key elements

Requirements

  • Valid state driver’s license
  • Must be either a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (In order to comply with U.S. government regulations as defined in 8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(20), or a “protected individual” as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)
  • Must be able to travel domestically, when needed

R&D Laboratory Technician

Location: Connecticut

Job Overview

US Chrome is looking for a creative problem solver who has an insatiable desire to learn while working in an R&D and production setting. Our technologically cutting-edge plating company needs a team player with a ‘can do’ spirit to help design and develop our future products and services. We want someone who loves the feel of a family friendly, family owned business where interpersonal relationships are important.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Working with senior materials and chemical processing scientists to help develop new electro-plated coating products

  • Designing and executing chemical experiments for the development of new and existing coatings

  • Designing and executing experimental designs (using design of experiment methods) employing a variety of instrumental and material test equipment for the development of new and existing coatings

  • Performing chemical analyses to verify experimental conditions and results

  • Performing chemical analyses for production control and verification of existing processes

  • Designing and building prototype plating fixtures for both experimental and production applications.

  • Generating, comparing and analyzing experimental and test data to gain understanding of existing, new and competitive products

  • Writing clear reports, updates and summaries of projects assigned and performed which document your findings and conclusions

  • Maintaining chemical analysis logs and records used for document process control

  • Working as part of a technology team bringing fresh, new and exciting ideas to help position our company for continual and future success in electroplated coatings

Qualifications

  • Four-year degree (preferably in chemistry and/or materials engineering)
  • Masters or Doctorate in the same discipline or a chemical engineering degree is the most preferable
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience working in a laboratory environment and/or a strong understanding of electrochemical systems
  • Good writing and communications skills
  • Resides in or is ready to relocate to Connecticut
